Deval’s conducts workshops to develop an understanding of upcycling metal scrap into a useful product or a piece of artwork with hands-on experience over the material and the machines involved. Metal scrap including gears, bearings, nuts, bolts, wires and all the available metal junk are used to impart skills. It involves discussing the procedure, possibilities, applications and extreme experimentations that can be performed with metal scrap in terms of aesthetics, expressions, design language, fusion of art with design, customization, product finish, etc. Also, the curriculum differs for different age-groups ensuring that the right skills are imparted.
